Our Story
Built on a simple standard.
J Fox LLC was built on one idea: the finish work should look like it was always part of the house. Owner Josh Clark brought that craftsman's eye to Tampa Bay after years across every side of residential construction: leading trim crews, co-owning a custom cabinet shop, building custom homes, and running full-scale remodels.
That range is unusual, and it's the point. A finish carpenter who has also built homes and run renovations sees how the details connect: how a built-in should meet existing trim, how a profile should be sized to the room, how new work should tie into old. It's the difference between carpentry that looks installed and carpentry that looks original.
Today the company focuses on what it does best: custom built-ins, cabinetry, trim, and finish carpentry for homeowners, designers, builders, and investors across St. Petersburg and Greater Tampa Bay who care about how the details come together.

Licensed GC & the craftsman behind the work.
Josh is the licensed Florida general contractor (CGC1539933) and the craftsman behind every J Fox project. His background spans more than 15 years: lead for a trim company, co-owner of a custom cabinet shop, custom home builder, and full-scale home remodeler.
On J Fox projects, Josh does the work himself rather than handing it to a rotating crew, so the person who quotes your project is the person building it. He's known for clean work, precision, and solving problems in the field. Matching new trim and built-ins to a home's existing architecture is the part he's best at, and the part most installers skip.

Alyssa manages the business and client-facing side of J Fox LLC, including communication, scheduling, estimates, marketing, and project coordination. With a background in real estate, renovations, and client service, she helps keep projects organized and makes sure clients feel informed throughout the process.
Together, Josh and Alyssa combine craftsmanship, communication, and care to create thoughtful, well-built interiors throughout the Tampa Bay area.
